Really did feel like building an ark during the night. Awake all night cos of the rain, which makes a change it being cos of the constant freight trains, and really did expect to see cars floating past the window!!
Grandaddy arrived safely at about half ten. Buffy had sent me a lovely gift basket of smellies, white tea and honey, and HER colour OPI nail polish, 'Tasmanian devil made me do it'I put it on straight away, fingers and toes.It's a glorious red colour, which is so Buff. I love it!!
Mum and Dad text to check we were ok and Jen emailed, cos of the storms which reached teh English news. There were some terrible stories, the worst being a school in Alabama getting hit by a tornado and 8 children dying. I can't imagine sending your child off to school and them not coming home.
Like I told Jen, we were ok, there were tornado warnings near us but we were only on tornado watch. It goes- Thunderstorm, Bad thunderstorm warning, Tornado watch, Tornado warning, where you are told to take cover inside immediately, and Bloody loud Siren to tell you its here!!! Which apparently sounds like a freight train! So guess I will just be living in a closet every night!! or at least till we move out of this apartment which has apparently been built on the island of Sodor, or so you would think!!!
Going out to look at the house again to check measurements. Man do I live on the wild side!!
