Camping Barbie

This weekend we went camping at the lake. We joined Krystal, Greg, Grace, Emily, Thomas, Mel and Thomas, Gail, TJ, Emily, James- and Alex and James's friend Keegan, and Keegan's mum and dad, Gina and Mike joined us later for a drink around the camp fire. Waking up next to the lake and taking a dip instead of a shower was great!

Bunko Barbie gets lei-d!!

I forgot to mention I had a great time last week at Gails, playing Bunko! I hadn't played it since living in Denver, back in 2000. I laughed till I cried, met a great bunch of women, and got lei-d! ,
For those of you who don't know what bunko is, it is a dice game, very simple and a great laugh. Every time someone got a bunko,(three dice the same number as the number group your aiming for) they were given a lei, one of those flower garland thingies. I got two bunkos, so in effect I actually got lei-d twice! In one night! Not bad for an ol'bird!! (Sorry Dad, if your reading this!)

Waterslide Party

The boys were invited to our lovely neighbours daughter's birthday party. Scarlett was nine, and had a huge inflatable waterslide. After, I had to rush Ethan off to another birthday party, this time a pool party for his classmate Kellyn. Mr Smith had to drive us - Dang it Shannon! Those strawberry Margaritas were great!!

Hummingbird Rescue

On top of the red flower you can see a tiny humming bird which was trapped in our rear porch, luckily I was able to get it out, before it did itself any more damage by flying into the screened windows.
