God Save the Queen

I always used to wonder about people putting flags on cars and houses, but now I'm overseas I can kinda see why they do it. I can't explain it, but I love my Union jack, sorry Union flag(thanks Doctor Who) and my union ribbon on my car. My ribbon says "proudly British", and I am!!!
Funny though how I have to use a step and the steering wheel to get in, and have to jump out!
I hope my flags don't offend anyone! If they do ...well I will just run them over! and reverse a few times to make sure I really get them hee hee!!!

MY new baby!!

MY new baby. Mr Smith is allowed to drive it sometimes, like when I have a drink!! Check out the licence plate. Mr Smith's surprise. and a "Proudly British" sticker on the back!

Saturday/Sunday

Saturday we went to get blinds to put up in the house and then left Mr Smith to put them up while I took the boys to the library. As we walked in we met Mary, Mike and the kids. After a chat we decided we would go to theirs for the evening and get dinner. The library is great, the kids were on the computers and picking out their books and Mary and I sat on the couches, till Mr. Smith joined us to try and borrow a drill off of mike, he hadn't actually put any blinds up yet!!
As we left the library we bumped literally into Brandon and Gretchen, and their daughters who used to be at Digby, they moved here two years ago. It is such a small world, it's unbelievable! Swapped numbers, and hopefully will meet up soon.
We went to Mike and Mary's. Mr Smith drove one car and I followed with the kids. After a while Alex said "I don't remember this turn, wouldn't it be funny if you were following the wrong car ha ha"
WOuld you believe it! An identical car got in between us and we ended in this strange suburb while the poor man we were following drove home.
Had to sit and wait for Mr. Smith to find us!
Had a lovely night, drinking beer and playing cribbage, I couldn't stop laughing everytime I got to say "and one for his knob" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ..........

New House Day

Finally having a car means I can get up and go out whenever we want while Mr. Smith is at work. Took the boys to the computer suite for a bit then went to Wal-Mart and picked up the kids photos. They are so nice. Sent one to Mum and Dad and a birthday card to my brother, Steve. I'm getting used to driving more and more everyday.
Went to the library and got our cards so we can take books out now. After we went to Donna's office to sigh for our mortgage, and on to the meeting to close on the house. About 45 Mins later it was ours!
Now just got to wait for furniture to arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday, so we are going to camp out there for a night or two.
Went to 'Rooms-to-go' so we could get new living room and bedroom furtniture. For dinner the boys had 'Crystals' and we just chilled out.
Even seeing the new house it's hard to believe we really are here to stay.

New Car Day!! Almost....

Lovely hot sunny day and after a hot game at tennis the boys decided to go to the pool. It was freezing water again but at least there were more people around this time.
Took the boys to the computer suite and they played games for a while then came back to get ready to see Joseph about my car!
My two initial choices of a black tahoe were not available/already sold, so settled for sport red, which is surprisingly unsport-like and rather maroon. It's a lovely colour but maybe I just have a different idea of what sport red would look like!?
The car has to come from another dealer and should be here tomorrow. Meanwhile Joseph gave me another Tahoe to drive around in for free! How nice of him!
Everyone in the dealership said the boys were excellently behaved and again we bumped in to a right bunch of brats. Everywhere we go we get told how wonderful the boys are, how nicely they speak, behave, show manners etc. Now, those of you who know my kids know they are only human and you have seen them tearing around on a friday night but here they look like angels! It's starting to worry me, the behaviour of all the kids we meet. The only nice kids we have met who play and talk like our kids are Mike and Mary's three. They are lovely and they all play for hours and they have manners etc. The rest of the ones we meet or who move into these apartments are pretty mean and nasty to be honest and very bratty, I just want my boys to remain nice.
Took the boys for fish and chips at 'Captain D's', came home and watched 'Austin Powers'. Groovey baby!
