Alex's Audition
Sunday saw Alex and Mr.Smith off to Atlanta for Alex's audition. As usual he looked really great! He did good, recited his Pepsi advert ok, but then found out he has to wait two or three months to find out if he has it or not, which is apparently quite normal. So he has to go home forget about this one and keep going on other auditions until he hears. Meanwhile he has a class next Saturday. He is loving it!!!
Week one of Princess!
Well, all I can say is that she is a minx!!
I joined the Omni gym this week, and got a personal trainer who I hope will kick my butt into shape! He is from Wales and lived about 3 miles away from Lannie and Nige! Small world again! Spinning classes are great fun too!
Jordan and Ethan both had their fire drill and then a lock-down drill at school. The teacher tactfully said it was an emergency drill. Doors lock. blinds come down, everyone lies on the floor. Then as Ethan's seven year old classmate told him, " its incase a bad guy breaks into school with a gun!"
I suppose at least they know what to do!!
And least their front doors lock! Alex's school is open to all, while you have to buzz the intercom to get into the elementary school!

Princess's first day
Princess arrived this morning. We love her! She is a brilliant dog, only six months and so calm, no nipping or chewing...so far! We took her to see our frinds Sue and Larry and their dog Snapper.
Then we spent the afternoon at their pool, with Princess of course.

First day back at school
Gutted! The boys have started back at school. Mr Smith dropped Alex off at middle school just after 7am!
I took Jordan and Ethan back to elementary school, and they were both very big and said bye at the door and didn't want me to walk them in.
Redundant I came back home. I can't believe our lovely long summer holiday is over. We have had 87 days off. Spent every minute together, had some wonderful visitors come and see us, and a great trip back to England, and been to the pool every chance we got. I hate its over and school is back in.
Good news is that our visit with Princess went great and she comes to us on Friday. I'm having problems getting pictures on my blog, but I will keep trying!

Break in the weather
We are having a bit of a break from the weather today! Yesterday it got to 115 degrees on our thermometer, and thats the outside temperature, not the inside of the car! Today is a mere 82 degrees at 10am. Princess (must change that name!) is coming over in an hour to 'play'!

Audition Day
Alex heard an advert on the radio for models and actors and so called, just to try it. He got an interview, so went off at 9am Saturday, with Mr. Smith and went to the audition. He got a call back and then got signed to a modelling/acting agency!
Apparently he was the star of the auditions and noone had his "look". At the workshop he met Nick Spano and had his picture taken. We have never got into all this before and looks like there will a lot of driving around for long trips to Atlanta, but Al seems to be really enoying it!
He has an audition next Saturday for a TV show. Fingers crossed!!
Friday 10th August - 108 degrees!
Another day at the pool but when it reached 108 degrees we finally gave in, and I bought the boys home! Managed to get a photo of the temperature reading of 107 degrees!!
Saturday 11th August - Princess gets a Princess!
I will post more pics later, ever since I made the web albums of our holiday, normal pics won't post anymore! Odd!!
Today we looked for a dog, and went out to see a DOG, not a puppy! House-trained, short haired, calm and SMALL.....came back with an arrangement to trial a 6 month puppy, not house trained, long haired, half shepherd/half lab!
Warning...don't take your kids to help you pick a dog! pick it and tell them thats what they are getting!!!
But best of all ...she was obviously was meant to be mine......she is called Princess!!

Sunday 05 August
Just back from the pool. Its around 100 degrees and the water is like a warm bath!!
I have a very poorly toe. On Friday Alison, Sarah-Jane and Emily came and stayed overnight and Alison and I had a few drinks. I went upstairs to check on Alex, stepped on and rolled over his baseball bat, slid to the floor, executing a perfect pair of splits
( 9.6 9.6 10. from the judges!) and smashed my toes into his bed post!
Unable to walk properly all weekend Mr Smith found himself having to do all the boys back to school shopping himself. Oh dear!
For those of you who think I did that on purpose (yes you Jen,) I really didnt!!

Catch up after our visitors and our visit!
It's been so mad-crazy-busy since Lannie, Nige and the girls came out, and then the boys and I went back the England for two weeks the same day they left, that I haven't had time (or internet connection!) to do a single entry. Sorry folks! I'm going to put all our photos on as a web album and hopefully get time to go back and comment on them. If I don't get them on soon, I will never catch up with the last few weeks!!
